Peter D'Agostino People

Peter d'Agostino is an artist working in video and new media for three decades; his projects have been presented internationally as installations, performances, telecommunications events and broadcast productions. Recent surveys include Interactivity and Intervention, 1978-99 at the Lehman College Art Gallery, New York, and Between Earth & Sky, 1973/2003 at the University of Paris I Partheon-Sorbonne; major group exhibitions include the Whitney Biennial, the Sao Paulo Bienal and the Kwangju Biennial. His work is held by The Museum of Modern Art and distributed by Electronic Arts Intermix; he is a Fulbright Scholar, has received grants from NEA, Japan Foundation, Pew Trusts and others, has held multiple residencies, directs Temple Universitys NewTechLab, and has produced interactive projects and publications on new media.

Peter Horvath People

Peter Horvath is a media artist working in video, sound, photo-based and new media who immersed himself in digital technologies at the birth of the Web and co-founded 6168.org. He adopted photo-montage techniques for net-based and 2D works, exhibited at the Whitney Museum Of American Art's Artport and international festivals including Stuttgarter Filmwinter and FILE 2004 as well as venues in New York, Tokyo and London; he is a founding member of the net.art collective Hell.com and considers a future when high bandwidth will be free.

Peter Hutton People

Peter Hutton, B.F.A., M.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute, taught at Hampshire College, Harvard University and SUNY Purchase; since 1984 he has been Professor of Film at Bard College. He is a filmmaker who has produced more than 20 films, mostly portraits of cities and landscapes worldwide; his work has been shown in major museums and festivals in the United States and Europe, including the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Biennial (1985, 1991, 1995, 2004). Since 1986 he has continued a series of landscape portraits of the Hudson River Valley and is developing projects in Bangladesh and Iceland; his grants include the National Endowment for the Arts, DAAD Berliner, Rockefeller Foundation, Dutch Film Critics Award and a Guggenheim Fellowship.

Peter Kerlin People

Peter Kerlin is a musician, sound artist and educator who plays upright bass in Minetta and creates software for improvised performance with his band Christmas Decorations; he recorded with Ted Leo/Pharmacists, the Sumerians and the Holy Childhood (longtime member). He collaborated for four years with choreographer Anna Sperber on sound scores, including the Tiger Situation presented March '07 at Dance Theater Workshop; he worked as video associate for the Builders Association on Supervision and holds a BA from RISD and a Masters from the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at NYU.

Peter Kubelka People

Peter Kubelka is an independent filmmaker since 1952 and a multifaceted artist and theoretician active in architecture, literature, music, painting and cuisine. In 1964 he co-founded the Austrian Film Museum and served as its curator for many decades; he is co-founder of the Anthology Film Archives in New York City and became professor in film and video at the Frankfurt School of Fine Arts in 1978, serving as Rector from 1985-88 and extending his title to Professor of Film and Cuisine. He has lectured worldwide over the past 40 Years, was awarded the Austrian State Prize for his lifes work, and created frame-by-frame shorts between 1956 and 1960 including Adebar, Schwechater and Arnulf Rainer; Alexander Horwath cites him as a major cinematheque founder and archivist.

Peter Rose People

Peter Rose is a filmmaker and video artist who since 1968 has made over thirty films, tapes, performances and installations; his early works drew on his background in mathematics and on structuralist filmmakers to examine time, space, light and perception, and he later explored language and video through concrete texts, political satire, performance and intellectual comedy. Recent work returns to landscape, time and vision in installation form. Phil Solomon People

Phil Solomon teaches film aesthetics and film production at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 1998 and has collaborated with Stan Brakhage. He is working on the series The Twilight Psalms; its second film, Walking Distance, premiered at the New York Film Festival and won the Juror's Award at the Black Maria Film Festival. Phill Niblock People

Phill Niblock (born Indiana, 1933) is an intermedia artist working in music, film, photography, video and computers. Since the mid-1960s he has presented work at venues including the Museum of Modern Art, The Kitchen and Palais des Beaux Arts and on radio in the U.S. and Europe. He received grants including Guggenheim and NEA support; he has directed the Experimental Intermedia Foundation in New York since 1985 and produced about 800 Music and Intermedia presentations at EIF. He creates installations combining 16mm color film, slides, video and multi-channel tape; his music uses dense tunings and his films document people working in non-urban locations worldwide.

Phillip Stearns (AKA Pixel Form) is a sound and visual artist and composer who graduated from California Institute of the Arts music composition department. His practice centers on electronics, media technologies and procedural processes and frames the circuit as a site for composition, performance, installation, sculpture and interaction. He employs custom and handmade electronics, feedback systems, hacked and circuit-bent devices and custom software; he performed at ISIM 2006 and Darmstadt 2006, presented work at Soundwalk 2006, Machine Project (LA), Telic (LA) and Bent Festival 2006–2007, and continues to perform in Los Angeles.

Phillippe Blanchard People

Phillippe Blanchard studied film production and screenprinting at Concordia University after narrowly missing the cut for the Montreal Expos; he then traveled and worked in the Middle East and Latin America and returned to Montréal to make films on perpetual motion machines. He later moved to Toronto, took a Visual Effects course at Seneca and started at Head Gear in 2004; in 2005 he made Taco Monde, his first animated film about food, and is currently working on a sequel.

Phyllis Baldino People

Phyllis Baldino is a conceptual artist working across performance, video, sculpture and installation; her low-tech videotapes document assembling, deconstructing and transforming found objects and typically stage ironic oppositions and gendered role-playing. Her works, often shot with a static camera and informed by scientific and philosophical principles, are frequently incorporated into installations, objects or projections. Born in 1956, she earned a B.F.A. from Hartford Art School; she has held solo shows in Cincinnati, New York and San Francisco and has been included in exhibitions at MoMA, the Guggenheim and major international venues; she has screened at the New York International Video Festival and the 1st Video Festival del Mediterraneo.
