SONY CV 2000 Tools
The CV 2000 is a ½" open-reel Videocorder announced by Sony in Japan in October 1964; it is described as a 2-rotary head recorder developed by a team led by Nobutoshi Kihara and marketed in 1965. Specifications note solid-state circuitry, recording times of 60 minutes continuous with V-32 tape (2,370 ft.) and 30 minutes with V-31 tape (1,240 ft.), and rewind/fast-forward within seven minutes. Supplied accessories include V-30 sample tape, RH-7V empty reel, head cleaner, Sony OL-1K oil, splicing tape and connectors; auxiliary equipment includes VCK-2000 camera ensemble, CVM-2300U monitor and CVO-1 dust cover; Technical Bulletin P.E.T.I.-3 is referenced.
Sony CV 2200A Tools
Sony CV-2200 and CV-2200A are editing and duplicating videocorders; the A is a variation but identical in operation. Sony CV-2600 - Simplified 1/2" Skip Field Videocorder Tools
1968 Sony CV-2600 videocorder, the last of Sony's CV series and a transition toward full-field AV-series machines; simplified 1/2-inch skip-field two-head rotary helical-scan recorder. The Owner's Manual cites single-lever tape-transport control, automatic audio and video level control, and no playback tracking; tapes interoperate with CV-2000-series units and the DVK-2400 portable kit, with recording times over 60 minutes on V-32 (2370 ft) and over 30 minutes on V-31 (1240 ft) at 7½ ips. SONY CVC 2000 Tools
The CVC-2000 video camera was marketed for use with the early CV 2000 series of video recorders and sold as an accessory for the CV-2000 and CV-2000D; it was also listed for use with the TCV-2010 and 2020. The CV-2020 was housed in a walnut cabinet and included a timing device that may be preset to record programs while the owner is away from home; the VCK-2000 Camera Kit packaged the CVC-2000 with a tripod, camera cable, microphone and AC extension cord in a case. SONY EV-320 1" Videocorder Tools
Sony produced a series of one-inch VTRs between 1963 and 1971, including models EV-200 through EV-330TLV and UV-340; the 310/320 series offered remote control and Color Pack options. Product literature lists EV 320 Price List 8/1/69 $4,900 and describes the EV-320 as a capstan-servo, insert-edit capable 1" reel-to-reel color VTR with 60-minute playing time on a 2,460-foot reel and a one-year video-head warranty. The EV-320F is presented as a video editor with flying erase heads, the EV-330TLV as a time-lapse VTR up to 60 hours, and the UV-340 as a self-contained full color videocorder; videotape in 1972 ranged from $40 to $70.
