SONY AV-5000 series Tools
From the SONY AV-5000A Operating Manual, the SONY AV-5000A is a compact portable videocorder for color or monochrome television and live-action picture and sound recording for education, training and home entertainment. It uses 1/2-inch tape conforming to EIA and NTSC standards; tapes are interchangeable with other SONY AV-Series videocorders; playback ranges from still frame to less than one-third speed with skew and tracking controls. Specifications include AC 117V 60 Hz power (approx. 95 W), SONY MCR rotary two-head helical-scan FM recording, 7 1/2 ips tape speed with 60-minute V-32 tapes, weight 55 lb and basic accessories.

SONY Betamovie BMC-200 Tools
Sony introduced the Betamovie BMC-200 in 1983 as the first camcorder combining a video camera and VCR; the single-head, half-diameter drum spun twice as fast and recorded only, requiring playback on a Betamax player. The BMC-200 improved on the original PAL BMC-100 with digital auto focusing, weighed under 2.5 kg and recorded up to 3 hours 35 minutes on an L-830 cassette; the final BMC-500 used a CCD sensor and added an LCD tape counter and clock. Specifications include a 1/2" SMF Trinicon pickup tube, 6X power zoom lens, rotary four-head helical scanning system, NP-11 battery power and various 3.5mm jacks for audio and remote.
