Beatriz da Costa People

Beatriz da Costa is a Machine Artist and Tactical Media Practitioner who has collaborated with Jamie Schulte and Brooke Singer and worked with Critical Art Ensemble since summer 2000; she has participated in the development and implementation of bio-tech initiatives and models of contestational science. Her work has been exhibited at the New Museum (New York), ISEA (Japan) and the World Information Organization (Belgrade), and she joined the UC Irvine faculty as an Assistant Professor in the graduate program Arts, Computation and Engineering. Bebe Beard People

Bebe Beard (http://www.bebebeard.com/) earned a BFA in 1976 and an MFA from Mass College of Art's Studio for Interrelated Media in 1996; she received grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, St Botolph's Club Art Foundation and the Gottlieb Foundation Emergency Assistance and held residencies at Djerassi Resident Artists Program, MacDowell Colony and the Experimental Television Center in Owego, NY. She has exhibited in alternative spaces, galleries and theaters throughout Boston, Chicago and New York.

Bec Stupak People

Bec Stupak is a New York City artist working with video and live visuals who began as a VJ at raves and toured for four years. She founded Honeygun Labs in 1999, producing branding and visuals for companies including Bacardi, MTV2 and Red Bull; the studio collaborated with Assume Vivid Astro Focus for the 2002 Whitney Biennial, and Honeygun Lab's Shiny Disco Balls won Best Underground Music Video at the 2003 Winter Music Conference. Stupak has exhibited at LA MoCA and Deitch Projects, made videos in Iceland including No Limit (2006), directed a video for The Dazzle Dancers, and performs as Superalot.

Ben Crane is an Emmy Award Winning Producer and Associate Professor of Communications at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York; he teaches documentary, ethics, and critical thinking. As a writer/producer/director his honors include the Gabriel Award, the Ohio State Award, and Columbia University's Major Armstrong Award; he holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Michigan and a doctorate in communication arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Ben Rubin is a New York City–based media artist whose exhibitions have appeared at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the MIT List Visual Arts Center, and the Skirball Center in Los Angeles (in a show organized by the Getty Museum); he has collaborated with Laurie Anderson, Diller+Scofidio, Ann Hamilton, Arto Lindsay, Steve Reich, and Beryl Korot. Benton C Bainbridge, based in the Bronx, is a media artist who uses custom systems to create immersive environments and digital time-based artworks; his visual performances have been presented on five continents. He has shown at institutions including the Whitney Museum of American Art; he teaches in the MFA Computer Arts Department at the School of Visual Arts and founded Intersection Arts, LLC in 2014 to produce media art for cultural institutions and clients, including the American Museum of Natural History’s One Step Beyond monthly late-night event.

Bernard Roddy People

Bernie Roddy is a philosopher and filmmaker who taught college philosophy and media courses and earned a PhD in philosophy from the University of Rochester (1995) and an MFA in Media Study from the University at Buffalo (2003). He produced 16 mm animated and dramatic films—including Truth (1998), Relativism (1999), Fluxus Cartoon (2000), Time and Object (2001) and the MFA thesis Dire Mastery (2003)—and made video works The Gift and The Great Confinement (2004). His work screened at festivals such as Ann Arbor, Cinematexas and the Black Maria, and he received a 2003 Experimental Television Center Finishing Fund.

Beryl Korot People

Beryl Korot, born 1945 in New York, is an early video-art pioneer who lives and works in Vermont and New York; her multiple-channel (and multiple-monitor) video installations examined relations between programming tools such as the loom and multiple-channel video. In the 1980s she produced paintings based on an invented language, executed on hand-woven and traditional linen canvas. From 1998 she collaborated with composer Steve Reich on the documentary digital video opera Three Tales (prologue and three acts); Act 1 uses Paul von Hindenburg footage and the 1937 Hindenburg explosion, Act 2 addresses the Bikini atom bomb test and removal of islanders, and Act 3 concerns the 1997 cloning of a sheep in Scotland.

Beth Berolzheimer People

Beth Berolzheimer is a Chicago-based media artist and activist who produces videos, photographs and multimedia installations; her thirty-year career engages early European filmmaking, documentary and narrative film theory, art history, feminist and semiotic ideologies and a personal post-colonial critique. She was a ten-year member of Women In The Director's Chair and collaborated with Beyondmedia on videotapes about battered women and the NGO Forum for Women in China and documented post-glasnost rebuilding by Jewish women in Russia and the Ukraine. She introduced the first Avid digital non-linear editing systems to Columbia College Film/Video in 1993, is an Avid Certified Instructor and has taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Columbia College.
