Programs of the Electronic Music Foundation Groups

The Electronic Music Foundation (EMF), founded in 1994 by composer and interactive-systems pioneer Joel Chadabe, is a non-profit dedicated to increasing public understanding of electronic music; Chadabe published the book Electric Sound in 1997 and teaches at Bennington College while serving as professor emeritus at the State University of New York at Albany. EMF is establishing the EMF Institute to preserve and exhibit historically significant electronic instruments and to archive and disseminate related materials, supported by donations from more than 750 individuals and organizations and grants including the Daniel Langlois Foundation and Yvar Mikhashoff Trust. Programs include EMF Productions, EMF Media and CDeMUSIC, the EMF Calendar and Internet Directory, GRM Tools (co-marketed for GRM in Paris), and the EMF/SEAMUS Professional Opportunities Directory.
