Meredith Drum

Meredith Drum is a cinema artist who makes experimental fictions and journalistic short-form videos. Her narratives have been screened at Anthology Film Archives, Participant Inc., Ocularis and Monkeytown.

Her short documentaries have been published on the NYTimes Tmagazine, Good Magazine and by A.I.R. Gallery at Fales Library. She is currently making a short about Natalie Jeremijenko and the toxins in Newtown Creek for Cinelan, one of a series of documentaries about artists working with environmental science.

    Katherine Liberovskaya is a video and media artist based in Montreal and New York; she has worked in experimental video since the late eighties and produced single-channel videos, installations and performances. Her recent practice centers on collaborations with new-music composers and sound artists and, since 2003, on live video mixing and improvisation with numerous musicians. She organized events with Studio XX in Montreal (programming coordinator 1996–1998; president 2001–2003), Espace Vidéographe and Experimental Intermedia, NY (Screen Compositions 2005–2007), and co-presented the OptoSonic Tea series with Ursula Scherrer at Diapason in NYC.

    Marita Sturken is Associate Professor at the Annenberg School for Communication, University of Southern California, and author of Tangled Memories (California, 1997), Thelma & Louise (British Film Institute, 2000), Practices of Looking (with Lisa Cartwright, Oxford, 2001), and co-editor of Technological Visions (Temple, 2004). She holds a PhD from the History of Consciousness program at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and has published in journals including Representations, Public Culture, History and Theory, and Afterimage. She has written extensively about video art and the emergence of video, including catalogues for the Museum of Modern Art and Electronic Arts Intermix, and co-curated with Robert Riley the exhibition Machine Media: Steina and Woody Vasulka at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in 1996.

    Rebecca Dolan holds an MFA in Photography and Digital Imaging from Maryland Institute College of Art (1999) and a BFA from Colorado State University (1991); she is Assistant Professor in the Photography & New Media Department at Kansas City Art Institute. Her exhibitions include solo shows in Kansas City (2003 Field; 2004 White, working title) and screenings at the National Gallery Film Theatre (2002) and Goethe Institut (2001); her installations are multi-channel video works with dimensional sound, and her videography (1998–2001) includes collaborations with Patrick Wright.
