Melanie Printup Hope

Hope is of Tuscarora descent and was raised on the Tuscarora Indian Reservation in Western New York. She earned a BFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an MFA in electronic arts from Renssalear Polytechnic Institute. Her video and installation work has been shown widely throughout the US and Europe. She has received recognition from the Rockefeller Foundation, the New York Foundation for the Arts, The National Endowment for the Arts, the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the Jerome Foundation and the Lyn Blumenthal Memorial Fund.

    Melanie Crean is a media artist, teacher, curator and producer in Brooklyn. She teaches experimental video and software; as Eyebeam Director of Production she founded and managed a cooperative studio supporting socially based media and also worked at the MTV Digital Television Lab on special effects and animation. She produced documentaries in Nepal, India and the US on women trafficking and HIV/AIDS along trucking routes in South Asia; she holds a BA from Brown and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts and has received fellowships and commissions including Art in General and Harvestworks.

  • Suzanne Goldenberg People

    Suzanne Goldenberg holds a BA from Mc Gill University and an MFA from Maryland Institute College of Art; she is presently working on the production and design for a quarterly online contemporary arts journal and at Harvestworks. Her exhibitions have included the Great Hall of Art (NY), Kibla Media Center (Slovenia), Gallery Remont (Yugoslovia), MaMa Media Center (Croatia), Jeleni Gallery (Czech Republic) and galleries in NY and Baltimore. She received a Gottleib Foundation Artist Grant (2003) and support from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (2003).

  • Shelley Horton-Trippe People

    Shelley Horton-Trippe has lived in Santa Fe for more than 25 years with her daughter Bess; she attended art school in Montana, received an MFA in Oklahoma and travelled to France to study video with Nam June Paik. She has exhibited extensively in Europe and the U.S., including New York's East Village, Salon d'Autumn in Paris, the Edinburgh Festival and the Venice Biennale; she received New Mexico Arts Division grants and four National Endowment for the Arts Special Project Grants and currently teaches painting and drawing at the College of Santa Fe and Santa Fe Community College; website: http://www.shelleyhortontrippe.com/.

  • Nadia Hironaka People

    Nadia Hironaka holds an MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (1999) and a BFA from The University of the Arts (1997); her video and film work has been exhibited and screened at venues and festivals including the 14th Philadelphia Film Festival (April 7–20, 2005), Rencontres internationales Paris/Berlin (2004) and Surface Tension at The Fabric Workshop and Museum (2003). She received awards and support including a 2004 Director's Choice at Black Maria, SOS and Leeway Foundation grants, and was Artist in Residence at FABRICA (2001). She has worked as Video Archivist at The Fabric Workshop and Museum (2000–present), taught video workshops and delivered lectures and juries.
