Gretchen Skogerson is a video and installation artist. Before becoming an artist she studied contemporary art history and cinema studies. One of her current projects, The American Disaster Series, a group of experimental videos and sculptures, focuses on the re-telling of contemporary disasters. Her work has been shown at a variety of venues including The Whitney Biennial, The New York Film Festival, The International Film Festival of Rotterdam and The Mattress Factory in Pittsburgh, PA.
